Lele Kolektiv is a women-led NGO in Croatia creating spaces where birthworkers, artists, and educators reconnect care for mothers with care for Mother Earth.
The Kolektiv acts both as a network and a movement, recognising women’s work, care, and creative expression as the living roots of a sustainable and equitable society.

With a mission to connect, empower, and inspire women across Europe & the Balkans, we want to weave a new fabric of {wo}men’s creativity, support, and ancestral knowledge into the heart of society, cultivating communities that are more just, compassionate, and healthy.
We are building a bridge between traditional knowledge, education, art, and social transformation through dedicated care for birthworkers, mothers, families, youth and Mother Earth.

Our projects
“Birthworkers Gathering — Birth, Art & Connection”
Co-hosted a gathering of 15 birthworkers in Terra Amici community, Piemonte, IT. For 7 days we explored birthwork, community, co-creation, art, singing, dancing & nurturing. We invited local midwifes and developed future ideas and initiatives for involving the local community into spreading awareness of gentle birth.
“Stories of Our Grandmothers”

A storytelling documentary in the making, told by our grandmothers in Bosnia. How they were giving birth, lived in community and raised the children. To forever capture their stories, knowledge, art and faces.
“Our raw nature & the beauty of birth”
online photo exibition
An online photo exibition that shared the beauty and rawness of homebirth. With the mission to empower women to make choices that support them and their families the best and to spread awareness about homebirth in the Balkans.
“Sacred bodies, sacred waters”
printed calendar
A beautiful printed calendar designed by Lele Kolektiv. Photographed in the wild nature of Spain’s south, and designed with sacred songs to be sung in community. This calendar is a celebration of Life, Mother Earth, our bodies and joy.
